Commencement celebrates the determination, resilience, and success of our graduates. At the Community College of Aurora, we are proud to honor this milestone and recognize the strength and purpose it took to reach.

Graduates should arrive no later than 7:30 a.m. with their cap and gown to check in. Family, friends, and guests are welcome to arrive between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

Live Streaming and Translation Services

Guests are welcome to attend the graduation ceremony. Students and guests requiring interpretation services will have options available in Spanish and Amharic. More information about those services will appear on this webpage.

Student Checklist

We can’t wait to celebrate you on May 9th! Here’s how to prepare:

 

  • Apply for graduation no later than March 1.
  • Register for commencement no later than April 22 to participate in the ceremony.
  • Pick up your free cap and gown regalia at the administration building’s Welcome Desk at the CentreTech Campus from March 16 through May 6. You can also pick up at Grad Bash.
  •  Attend commencement orientation.

Join us in celebrating your upcoming graduation! Grad Bash is a family-friendly event featuring free food, sweet treats, a DJ, photo booth, bounce house and fun activities.

Commencement Orientation

Commencement orientation prepares students for what to expect at this important ceremony. You’ll learn important logistical details like arrival instructions, ceremony order, and what to expect. Lunch will be provided.

When: Wednesday, May 6 from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m.
Where: CentreTech Campus Heritage Hall, Fine Arts Building F100
Virtual attendance is available via Zoom.
