Services

Fox Leads

Fox LEADS (Leaders Engaged in Action Driven Service) is a program focused on developing and implementing leadership skills within the CCA and Aurora Community. Cohort members will meet weekly in both the fall and spring semester and have the opportunity to receive a $1,000 scholarship for participating in the cohort. Application for the cohort will open in the Fall  semester, please check student newsletter for more information.

Career Readiness Coaching

Career Coaching and Readiness is your gateway to a wealth of resources and opportunities designed to launch you into successful career readiness preparation. From career exploration, to fine-tuning your resume and cover letter, mastering interview techniques, to networking like a pro at career fairs, we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

COSI Scholarship Coaching

COSI (Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative) supports scholar development through 1:1 coaching and provides a wide range of workshops and community events while at CCA.

Student Government Association

Student Government Association (SGA) serves as a representing body for the students at the Community College of Aurora, and acts as a bridge to college leadership in providing an enriched campus experience. SGA strives to advocate for student success by advancing CCA’s institutional outcomes of communication, critical thinking, cultural acceptance and career and transfer readiness.

Community & Civic Engagement Opportunities

There are lots of opportunities to get engaged and give back to the community!  

  • Day of Service: Held each semester, we spend the day partnering with local organizations like WeeCycle, A Little Help, Ready to Work, and SECORCares for impactful volunteer opportunities! 
  • Civic Engagement: We host monthly events to promote non-partisan education and civic participation.  
  • Keep an eye out in your email and the student newsletter on how to get involved.

Student-Led Organizations

Aspiring Health Professionals Club

This supportive community is for those interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. Our mission is to provide a space for like-minded individuals to expand their circle by offering mentorship, resources, and educational skills. If you’re looking to strengthen your communication, achieve valuable insight, and build meaningful connections please join!

Coding Club

The main purpose of the coding club is learning and the second focus of the club is collaboration with peers. Collaboration helps students from a variety of backgrounds and cultures learn how to work constructively in a group together. As the world becomes increasingly computerized and automated, intimate knowledge of information technology systems is a requirement. To facilitate this, the Coding Club incorporates people of all skill levels.

National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP)

Work to achieve equity, political rights, and social inclusion by advancing policies and practices that expand human and civil rights, eliminate discrimination, and accelerate the well-being, education, and economic security of Black people and all persons of color.

The NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of ColoredPeople) is dedicated to ensuring the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights for all persons and eliminating racial discrimination. We advocate for civil rights, conduct research, and engage in litigation to protect and advance the rights of marginalized communities, striving to create a society where justice and equality are realities for all.

The Rotaract club works to provide service learning and engagement opportunities to students across our Aurora and Denver Metro Community. Join Rotaract today!

Students of Christ 3:16

Students of Christ 3:16 help people find and share their purpose in life through Jesus.

Students of Christ is a faith-based organization dedicated to fostering spiritual growth and community among students through fellowship, worship, and service. We provide a supportive environment for exploring and strengthening Christian faith, welcoming all who seek to deepen their relationship with Christ.

Fade IN

FADE IN is a club dedicated to supporting screenwriters at our school by providing table reads and constructive criticism. We offer feedback on story structure and theme elements to help peers develop their plots, fostering a creative environment where filmmakers from diverse backgrounds can network and refine their ideas.

Gamers United

Gamers United is a student-led organization at CCA dedicated to bringing together the community through the collaborative and creative power of gaming. We explore a wide universe of games, including board games, video games, Dungeons & Dragons, and more. Our mission is to foster networking, creativity, and friendships while creating a welcoming space for all gamers to connect, play, and have fun.

Theater Project

The Theatre Project at CCA makes theater accessible to all. We provide a safe and inclusive space for students to explore acting, directing, and production while fostering transferable life skills like collaboration, communication, and time management. Through mentorship and creative practice, we bring students together to develop their talents and put on theatrical productions, including readings, original works, plays, and musicals. Join us to build community, express yourself, and make magic on stage!

Fox Thrive

Fox’s Thrive is a student‑led organization dedicated to supporting recovery, wellness, and community connection at the Community College of Aurora. Grounded in the values of Teamwork, Hope, Rapport, Integration, Volunteering, and Encouragement, Fox’s Thrive provides a welcoming and inclusive space where students can build resilience and strengthen their overall well‑being.

The organization offers peer‑led support groups, wellness education, and opportunities for meaningful connection with fellow students. Fox’s Thrive also hosts engaging activities, workshops, and community‑building events throughout the semester, designed to promote personal growth, mental health awareness, and student empowerment.

Fox’s Thrive meets the last Wednesday of every month from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Student Center at the CentreTech Campus. All CCA students are welcome

Real Estate Construction Club

The Real Estate Construction Club (RECC) creates initiatives for the benefit of student members, the CCA campus, and our community at-large. The RECC is an inclusive club and encourages membership for students from all departments and programs at CCA. RECC initiatives provide opportunities for students to develop cultural competencies, communication skills and critical thinking skills by working on projects for the benefit of our campus community and our community at-large. By working on club initiatives, RECC members will become more career, business, and transfer ready students. Please consider joining the RECC to accelerate your personal growth and development.

Start Your Own Student Led Organization (SLO) at CCA

Requirements to starting a SLO

  • Have at least three CCA students interested in being a part of the organization
  • Find an advisor that works at the college (faculty, instructor, or staff member)
  • Submit a completed Roster and Constitution
  • Meet with the Office of Student Leadership and Development to schedule a SLO training and become an official organization at CCA!

The Office of Student Leadership and Development can also support with:

  • Recruiting members for your organization
  • Posting flyers for your recruitment meetings
  • Scheduling tables around campus to recruit new members
  • Providing funding to get your organization started!

Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK)

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is the official honor society for two-year colleges, and provides opportunities for its members to grow as scholars and leaders. Students are invited to PTK once they have completed 12 credits or more and have maintained a GPA of 3.5
and above.
