Are you currently an ESL or HSE (GED) student or just someone in the community who is ready for a new career but you’re not sure how to get started?

We offer accelerated college and career preparation, including English language classes, college and career readiness training, and reading, writing, and math instruction focused on your career pathway.

The Aurora Gives Scholars program was created to provide select graduating high school seniors with debt-free access to an associate degree from CCA. Aurora Gives scholars will receive coaching to support their academic and professional goals through connections to resources through completions of their associate degree.

If you are a first-time student with no previous college experience, you are guaranteed admission to any four-year college or university participating in CCA’s Bridge to Bachelor’s Degree program upon completing your associate degree. You get to choose which college you want to transfer to from CCA.

The Cadet Pilot Program provides a place for students to begin fulfilling careers in law enforcement. Civic-minded students who want to serve the Aurora community can earn an associate degree, and a two-year apprenticeship with the Aurora Police Department. After graduating with an associate degree, students in the Cadet Pilot Program will commit to three years of employment with the Aurora Police Department in a role that best fits their career goals. After fulfilling this commitment, students will have the cost of their schooling covered.

The Career Advance Colorado program provides free training for in-demand career fields. After graduation, students can enter fulfilling careers in areas such as nursing, early childhood education and law enforcement. Students who enroll in qualifying programs will have tuition, fees, course materials, and other costs completely covered while program funding is available.

Career Services provides skill development and employer connection opportunities that support students in making informed and empowered decisions in their educational and career journeys.

Care Forward Colorado is revitalizing Colorado’s healthcare workforce through zero-cost, short-term training programs at the Community College of Aurora. In a year or less, you can learn skills to become a certified nursing assistant, emergency services professional, and phlebotomy technician. All these careers are in high demand in Colorado’s healthcare facilities.

The COSI (Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative) Community Program Partner (CPP) is a scholarship program that supports recipients through skill development workshops, attending campus and community events, and receiving 1:1 coaching from the COSI Coaches.

COSI Scholars have the opportunity to receive a $175 incentive. Talk with a COSI coordinator to learn more about the scholarship program.

Award amounts are based on credit enrollment: 6-11 Credit Hours: $525 per semester, 12+ Credit Hours: $1,050 per semester.

Have you or members of your household been financially impacted or faced adverse effects from the COVID-19 pandemic? Are you interested in advancing in one of Colorado’s top career fields through higher education?

If yes, you might be eligible to receive the COSI Back to Work Scholarship from the Community College of Aurora.

The scholarship offers up to $1000 per semester and holistic support from a COSI Navigator to help ensure your success as you retool your skills and develop new ones, earn a new credential, and advance in one of Colorado’s top career fields.

Were you economically impacted during the COVID pandemic and unable to attend college?

If so, you could receive up to $1000 in tuition assistance through the COSI Finish What You Started program.

The Mental Health Therapy and Counseling office provides short term, individual therapy sessions to enrolled students to help them navigate stress, anxiety, depression, work & academic issues, family & relationship concerns, and many other challenges that life can present.

Contracts licensed counselors who will meet with you, listen and help figure out options to address your individual problems and challenges. We then provide referrals to both on-campus and community resources to help you handle what life sends your way.

We do not provide traditional, ongoing counseling or therapy, but we will work with you to find the support and assistance you need.

The PepsiCo Foundation Uplift Scholarship program aims to support closing the wealth gap by providing access to higher education to Black and Hispanic students pursuing two-year degrees and certificates in high growth and promising fields. The scholarship program includes assistance for tuition including wrap-around support and access to emergency funds to help reduce the barriers that community college students face.
