Computer Science AS
With a degree in Computer Science, the pathway of opportunities include Data analysis, cybersecurity, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and machine learning are among the predicted areas of job growth. The pathway also include data science, machine learning, software engineering, and application development positions in various sizes of businesses and corporations. The U.S. Bureau of Labor statistics predicts that overall employment in computer and information technology occupations is projected to grow much faster than the average for all occupations from 2022 to 2032. Wages for computer science and technology are well above median wages for all occupations. The AS degree program prepares students with the necessary foundational coursework to pursue a bachelor’s degree in computer science. Students will complete their basic mathematics, science, and computer science coursework required to enter most four-year computer science degree programs.
