Film: Post Production AAS

Cinematic Arts at CCA helps prepare students to become talented editors that find work. Students learn theoretical approaches relevant to how and why specific postproduction choices are made as well as the technical skills needed to be successful in using advanced editing software and editing suites.

Post-Production students become proficient in all of the platforms primarily used by professional editors: Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, and Avid Media Composer. We offer training in Sound Design with Avid Pro Tools, Color Grading with DaVinci Resolve, and Visual Effects, Animation and Motion Graphics with Adobe After Effects and Photoshop. Most importantly, we give our editors the skills to adapt in the fast-paced, ever changing world of media while collaborating with directors and other technical specialists to deliver high quality projects that can be used in resumés and reels.
