AURORA, Colo. – The Community College of Aurora (CCA) is excited to announce a new partnership with Regis University’s School of Pharmacy. This collaboration is designed to create a clear and streamlined pathway for CCA students to transition into Regis University’s pharmacy program.
The schools have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that establishes a streamlined pathway for CCA students pursuing pharmacy careers. This agreement will fast-track admission for those students into Regis University’s Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program.
CCA President Dr. Mordecai Ian Brownlee spoke about the impact this partnership will have, saying, “This new Pharm.D. MOU agreement between the Community College of Aurora and Regis University represents a transformative step forward in expanding access to high-demand healthcare careers for our students. It is a testament to what’s possible when mission-driven institutions come together in pursuit of equity, opportunity and innovation. I want to thank our exceptional faculty for their vision and commitment in making this opportunity a reality—your leadership continues to open doors and change lives.”
CCA will promote the Regis University Pharm.D. program to students pursuing an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, especially to those interested in a career in the health care sector. The colleges will partner to provide information sessions, campus visits, and informational materials to CCA students, and Regis University will reserve a limited number of seats in the program for CCA students who meet enrollment criteria.
“We are excited to collaborate with the Community College of Aurora to create pathways for their students to advance their education in pharmacy,” said Linda Osterlund, dean of Regis University’s Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions. “This partnership reflects our shared commitment to empowering students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the healthcare field.”
“We are proud to partner with the Community College of Aurora to expand opportunities for their students to pursue advanced degrees in pharmacy,” said Jake Bucher, provost of Regis University. “This collaboration underscores our commitment to academic excellence and working with community partners to prepare future healthcare leaders to make a meaningful impact in their communities.”
By aligning academic efforts, this partnership supports a smoother transition for students from CCA to pharmacy school, helping to prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals.
