Mission

The Community College of Aurora (CCA) serves our diverse community by providing high-quality instruction and support services to prepare students for transfer and employment. The CCA Testing Center supports this mission by administering a wide range of exams that support student education and career readiness. Through placement exams, credit for prior learning exams, and certification exams, students can access required courses, receive course credit, and complete certifications in their chosen field of study. The Testing Center also serves as a professional testing and certification site for first-responders, active-duty military members and their families, and the greater Aurora community.

The CCA Testing Center is certified by the National College Testing Association (NCTA) and has been recognized for its excellence in commitment to service and the integrity of its staff.

Student Resources

CCA students who need testing accommodations should contact the Office of Disability and Equity.

CCA students taking a placement exam are strongly encouraged to review the study guides for each exam.

If you are unsure which placement exam you should take, please make an appointment to meet with your advisor or contact the Testing Center.

  • Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, and Statistics Exam (QAS)

ACADEMIC TESTING SERVICES

The CCA Testing Center provides on-site test administration and proctoring that allows students to earn college credit by passing an exam.

CLEP Exams

  • Offers 34 exams that cover introductory-level college courses in multiple disciplines
  • Students who pass a CLEP exam earn credit for a college course.

 

DSST Exams

  • Offers 37 exams across a wide range of disciplines
  • Students who pass a DSST exam earn credit for a college course.

 

CCA students are encouraged to meet with their advisor before registering for a CLEP or DSST exam.

PROFESSIONAL, TECHNICAL, AND INDUSTRY-SPECIFIC TESTING SERVICES

The Testing Center provides on-site test administration and proctoring for the following exam companies.

National Testing Network Exams (NTN)
Measure Learning Exams
Kryterion Testing Network Exams (KTN)
ATI Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS)

 

Each company offers competency-based, high-stakes assessment and certification exams across a wide range of industries.

Register for exams through your employer, test sponsor, or specific exam company. When registering, choose the CCA Testing Center as your testing location.

TESTING AT BUCKLEY SPACE FORCE BASE

The CCA Testing Center provides on-site test administration and proctoring for CLEP and DSST exams at Buckley Space Force Base (BSFB).

Active-duty military personnel, their spouses, and Department of Defense civilian employees can take exams at BSFB.

If you are a member of one of these groups, you may be able to take exams for free with funding from the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES). To find out if you are eligible, please us the following links:

 

US Veterans may be eligible for reimbursement for CLEP and DSST exams through the GI Bill.
