Aurora, Colo. – The Community College of Aurora Foundation (CCAF) received a $225,000 grant from the Reisher Scholars Program at The Denver Foundation. The grant will fund scholarships for Community College of Aurora (CCA) students over the next two years as part of a landmark $25 million initiative marking the 25th anniversary of the scholars program.
Receiving this grant reflects CCA’s growing presence statewide as the higher education option for students,
said CCAF Executive Director Katlynn Del Dotto. This generous gift alleviates the pressure to meet our students’ immediate needs as enrollment continues to grow. We are honored to be selected to receive these funds.
The grant is part of a statewide investment by the Reisher Scholars Program at The Denver Foundation, recognizing colleges and universities that share a commitment to expanding access, opportunity, and success for Colorado students. CCA is among a group of current and future Reisher partner institutions across the state to receive anniversary funding.
This investment celebrates 25 years of transformative partnerships and positions the Reisher Scholars Program for its next chapter of growth,
said Javier Alberto Soto, President and CEO of The Denver Foundation, which administers the scholarship program. By putting significant resources directly into the hands of institutions that share our commitment to student success, we are strengthening relationships statewide and opening doors for the next generation of Colorado scholars.
Although this is the first year for CCA to receive funding directly from the program, The Denver Foundation has provided CCA students with scholarships to support transfers to four-year universities through the Reisher Bridge Program. The additional funding will allow CCAF to expand the impact of scholarships it offers to students.
As CCA continues to experience record enrollment and expand opportunities for students across Colorado, investments like the Reisher Scholars Program help remove financial barriers that prevent learners from completing their education. The grant will allow CCAF to continue investing in student success while strengthening pathways to certificates, degrees and workforce opportunities.
