AURORA, Colo. – The Community College of Aurora (CCA) received a $3,000 grant from the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge to support upcoming campus events to increase student voter engagement ahead of the Nov. 3 general election. This Party at the Polls grant helps CCA provide voter education and access to voting resources for students participating in the democratic process. The funding reinforces CCA’s commitment to preparing students to become informed and active participants in their communities.
At the Community College of Aurora, civic engagement is one of our four institutional outcomes, reflecting our commitment to preparing students for success beyond the classroom,
said Dra. Reyna Anaya, CCA’s vice president of student success. The ALL IN Party at the Polls grant gives us another opportunity to make civic participation more accessible and meaningful for our students. We want students to recognize that their voices matter and that they can play an active role in shaping the decisions that impact their lives and communities.
CCA will host three events across its campuses in collaboration with longtime partner New Era Colorado, a registered nonpartisan, nonprofit civic engagement organization. The events feature free food, entertainment, voter education, and information about available voting resources.

Building a Culture of Civic Engagement
The ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge provides the grant that makes these events possible as part of a national initiative to increase student voter participation and establish democratic engagement as a lasting part of the higher education experience. ALL IN supports participating campuses with training, guidance, promotional materials, and other resources to help institutions develop effective, nonpartisan voter engagement activities.
We’re proud to support the Community College of Aurora in making sure eligible voters in their campus community have a plan to vote in the upcoming election,”
said ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge Executive Director Jen Domagal-Goldman. Nonpartisan civic engagement on campuses is something to celebrate, and that’s exactly what we’ll do at these Party at the Polls events. Community College of Aurora students will come together to use their voices at the ballot box to make a difference not just in this year’s midterms, but in building a habit of civic engagement for the rest of their lives.
CCA has partnered with ALL IN for years in this work, earning national civic engagement awards and recognitions in 2024, 2025, and 2026. The partnership reflects the college’s commitment to providing students with opportunities to strengthen critical-thinking skills and participate in the democratic process.
The Party at the Polls celebrations build on CCA’s ongoing efforts to integrate civic engagement into the student experience. By connecting students with voting resources and opportunities for meaningful participation, the college aims to empower students to make their voices heard and contribute to the communities they serve.
Colorado voters must return their ballots by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
