Film: Writing/Producing AAS
It all starts with imagination, ideas and the script. Creative producers and screenwriters learn to analyze and write screenplays by understanding character, structure and narrative story elements. They then assemble teams and collaborate with directors to form a combined vision through initial creative development, pre-production organization and preparation, the scheduling and logistics of production, achieving the vision through post-production, and finally the business and marketing that is necessary for the successful delivery of a film.
Writing/Producing associate degree students learn to use Movie Magic Scheduling and Budgeting, industry standard production management software that is an in-demand skill on big budget productions. Students perfect both the creative and business aspects of filmmaking while growing their network, gaining on-set experience and building a resumé and creative portfolio that can be used to land opportunities in a competitive industry.
