Aurora, CO – On Dec. 12, the Community College of Aurora (CCA) hosted Foxy’s third annual Holiday Shop to provide donated toys and gifts to students and their families. The shop supports recipients of Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative (COSI) scholarships, who are traditional students and parenting students at CCA. This year, the Community College of Aurora Foundation (CCAF) partnered with Schomp Hyundai as the shop’s sponsor.

The Holiday Shop is one of the most meaningful programs we host at CCA each year. It not only brings our community together, but it also gives our parenting students the chance to add a little extra joy to their children’s and families’ lives during the holiday season, said Dra. Reyna Anaya, CCA’s Vice President of Student Success. The care and intentionality behind this program reflects our mission in action and demonstrates what it looks like to create a family-friendly environment on a college campus.

This is the second year that Foxy’s Holiday Shop received sponsorship. Schomp Hyundai donated toys and gifts to the shop to give extra support to parenting students who work hard for their families.

Supporting the COSI scholarship students through Foxy’s Holiday Shop was an easy decision for us at Schomp Hyundai, said General Manager Jeremiah Hooley. These are individuals who are investing in their futures while raising families—balancing education, work, and parenthood takes tremendous dedication. We’re honored to help ease some of the holiday financial pressure so they can focus on what matters most. Partnering with organizations that strengthen our community has always been core to who we are, and we’re incredibly proud to contribute to a program that makes such a meaningful difference in the lives of local families.

Schomp Hyundai’s partnership with CCAF also includes sponsorship for the upcoming College Beyond Walls Luncheon in April 2026. Katlynn Del Dotto, CCAF’s Senior Director of Development, noted that sponsoring both events supports CCA scholarship recipients. I am always blown away each holiday season by how our community chooses to step up for our families. Schomp Automotive isn’t a new partner to us, but this partnership with Schomp Hyundai is our largest to date.

CCA students, staff, and faculty came together to donate unwrapped toys or purchase them from a wishlist. The Division of Student Success organized donations and decorated the holiday shop for COSI scholarship students. The scholarship program supports recipients through skill development workshops and campus events like Foxy’s Holiday Shop.
