How to Register, Pay, and Buy Books . . .
Step 1: If you are not a current CCA Student, Apply for Admission.
Step 2: If you haven't already done so, take the college placement (assessment) test. Students are exempt from assessment if:

They have a Associate of Arts or Science degree or higher.

They have appropriate, transcripted, college-level English, math or developmental course. If they have non-regionally accredited transcripts, they must ether take the assessment or have an official transcript evaluation first which could take 2-3 weeks.

They are non-degree or non-certificate seeking and are not taking courses with prerequisites (does not apply to students under the age of 20).

They have documented ACT (18 for ENG 121, 17 for college-level reading and 23 for MAT121) or SAT scores (430 Verbal for college-level reading, 440 Verbal for ENG121, and 513 for MAT121). Lower ACT or SAT scores can be used for placement into pre-college level coursework.

They are seeking only a Real Estate certificate or a Certificate of Recognition (does not apply to students under the age of 20).
Step 3: Register for classes. Advising is required for all new students to register. Advisors can be seen on a drop-in basis, Monday-Thursday, 8-5:30, and Friday, 8-4:30. Or, contact our online advisor at onlineadvisor@ccaurora.edu. For more information, contact 303-360-4700.
Students may register in person at our Lowry or Centretech campuses or register online. Your S number and PIN are required for online registration. New students can obtain a PIN number from an Advisor or the Admissions and Registration office at 303 360-4700.
Auditing a Course. You may audit a course, meaning you can take the course for no credit, by registering for the course and completing the Request for Audit form by the date listed.
Change of Schedule. Students may add/or drop full-term courses with no penalty or approval the first week of class. After that date, students must obtain a signature from the instructor to change courses. Students who stop attending class(es) and do not officially drop classes are still considered to be enrolled and liable for all financial obligations.
Credit Hour Overload. Students may register for more than 18 credit hours (fall and spring semester) or 12 credit hours (summer semester) if they have a 3.25 grade point average and the written approval of the appropriate division dean or academic advisor.
How to Pay:
Students may pay in person or mail a personal check or your Visa, MasterCard or Discover number, expiration date and signature for your courses to: CCA, Cashier's Office, 16000 E. CentreTech Pkwy., Aurora, CO 80011-9036. Include your
Student ID# or Soc Sec # on all correspondence.
Students may also pay their tuition with Visa or Mastercard online using
ED.
Promissory Notes
Promissory notes allow you to pay a portion of your balance and pay the rest in installments. Promissory notes are available at the time of registration by paying all fees and 50 percent of tuition costs. The remaining balance is due
in installments. A non-refundable charge of $15 is charged for a promissory note. An additional non-refundable charge of $10 is assessed for each late payment. Students assessed a late fee are not eligible for another promissory note for at least one year following the term the fee is assessed. Students forwarded to collections are not eligible for promissory notes.
Payment, proof of financial aid, or third party sponsorship, must be submitted to the college by the payment deadlines. Financial aid and third party sponsorship students please note: If your sponsorship or financial aid is not equivalent to 100 percent of tuition and fee charges, you must make arrangements to pay the balance or you may be dropped from your classes. You can pay with cash, personal check, Visa, MasterCard or Discover. Returned check charge: $20 (includes stop payment fee.)
Financial sponsorship of tuition may be available through your employer or other organizational sources. If you are eligible for such assistance, you must submit proof of sponsorship at the time of registration to the Cashier's Office, Room A204.
Active duty military personnel and their dependents are eligible for in-state tuition. for more information, contact the Registration Office at 303-360-4713.
The Colorado State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education, as well as the Community College of Aurora, reserve the right to change tuition, fees and charges without prior notice. CCA will do everything possible to let students know about fee or tuition changes in advance.
How to Buy Books. You may purchase books in person at the CCA CentreTech Campus, or Phone-In Textbook Orders at 303-360-6336. Specify if you'll want new or used books. A charge to cover the cost of shipping and handling will be added. Orders are shipped UPS upon receipt of payment. You may also purchase books online at efollett.com.
Textbook refunds. Check the bookstore for information on textbook refunds and check Important Dates for refund deadline dates.
Financial Aid Authorizations. Visit or call the Financial Aid Office (303-360-4709) for book purchase authorization dates if you will be using the remainder of your awarded funds to buy books and supplies.
