College/Community Profile:
The Community College of Aurora is a fully accredited two-year, open-access, state-run institution offering associate degrees and certificates in occupational specialties. Programs provide workforce training for high-demand occupations, college credits guaranteed to transfer to Colorado’s four-year colleges and universities, and a focus on individual career or educational objectives.

Located in Colorado’s third-largest city, CCA is one of 14 colleges in the Colorado Community College system.  CCA serves more than 10,000 businesses in a 350-square-mile area that includes the City of Aurora and Adams, Arapahoe, and Douglas Counties.

Of the more than 10,000 students taking classes at CCA each year, 97 percent are Colorado residents and 45 percent are ethnic minorities. Eighty percent work while taking classes. CCA’s classes take place on two full-service campuses, CentreTech and Lowry.

The College receives more than $300,000 annually in grants from major organizations, including the Lumina Foundation for Education, Xcel Energy Foundation, Helen K. and Arthur E. Johnson Foundation, and the Daniels Fund.

CCA Mission:
